Here is every car that I did one of the things in the title to this year! This isn’t in chronological order though.
This was the last year I owned my 2014 ST. Lightly crashed it into some ice while hooning, and traded it in for a subjectively funner and better car. Not many original ST owners left on Oppo now. :p
I test drove a 2016 Mustang GT PP. Enjoyed the V8, thought the front end was too heavy, and we all know what that led to months later...
While the 944 was in the shop, I needed a car to drive back home and to class. So I was given this 1.8 Passat....Smelled like crayons on the inside, and was great on gas. But it wasn’t fun, go figure.
I got to start up, rev, and briefly move this SLS Black Edition.....Hard to get in and out of, the doors are fun to use, and the thing sounds sooo mean!
Got to test drive a 2016 Camaro SS w/8-speed. It is funnest modern V8 I’ve ever had the pleasure of hooning in. The shifts, are lightning quick, the power and torque are instantaneous, and the sound is to live for. Interior is cramped and slightly difficult to see out of; you adapt easily though.
I drove my friend’s ‘87 944 (on the right). Drives so much more refined than my 3 year-older 944. It even feels slightly easier to drive, which is odd...
I drove Cleetus-Vette into my garage. First C3 Vette for me, and it was a dream come true. Proper carbon monoxide spewing catless no-exhaust freedom eagle car, that beauty was. :p
I went with Jalopnik’s David Tracy to dyno the Cadillac ATS-V. It is the funnest Cadillac I’ve ever experienced! Great engine, smooth enough ride, and decent on gas!
My ST-replacement, the 2017 Mustang Ecoboost in sexy Grabber Blue. With a muffler delete, strut tower brace, and a tune that aligns me with 5.7 HEMI power and torque figures while still getting good fuel economy, this car is slowly becoming my perfect Mustang! And with more modifications on the way for next year, I can’t wait to continue to make it more mine! ^_^
The Alfa Romeo 8C...Just beautiful. 100% beautiful inside and outside. Sounds lovely too.
I got to start up, rev, and go for a ride in this LFA....The noise from that V10......It must be what a cocaine addiction feels like, because I couldn’t stop revving this fine machine!! Just a brilliant dream car!!
The Porsche 991 GT3 RS.....it’s interesting. I don’t really want one. I enjoyed starting it up and revving it, and the short ride was fun....But I didn’t really like it that much. I think the GT3 is just better.
The Viper ACR, fraking mental. That burbly muscle V10, the exhaust was proper ‘Murica, the shift and clutch were the most difficult I’ve ever tried to use though. Between it and the GT3 RS, I’d rather have the ACR every day.
I went on a spontaneous and epic 8-hour round trip to Chicago, driving a 2014 991 Carrera. My first modern 911 experience, and I have to say that the spirit is still there! Porsche hasn’t killed it yet! The PDK is a joy, and the handling and wailing flat-6 still brings back childhood memories!
Lastly, the Porsche 928 S4....Just lookit those headlights!!! ^_^
The not Pictured but not Forgotten:
The Cayman GT4 was my first supercar ride/experience, and what an experience it was to remember.
I got super lucky this year, having all the opportunities I did with all these sweet cars! 2017 is gonna be even better! I really wanna get my hands on an Aventador, AMG GT, or a classic Mustang next year! :)

The only notable car I rode in this year was an R32 GT-R. It was pretty awesome.

That’s a great year of cars, I spend more time driving trucks and SUV’s than I care to admit.
